Toy Story 4 (2019)

  • Gist: Team Toys gets swept into an adventure involving a newly-animated spork, an RV, an old flame, and a psychically scarred doll from an antiques store.
  • Creepy dolls: That’s all dolls to some extent, but the 4-5 Bensons would give Chucky the heebie-geebies.
  • Unironic meaningful moments: 40. Toy Story is nearly unique in telling surface-only stories that appeal to adults as strongly as to children.
  • Voice acting: AAA List
  • Canadian toys: 1, but he is DUKE CA-BOOM!!!
  • Crises of identity: 4
  • Chase scenes: 5
  • Narrow escapes: 9
  • Loving sacrifices: More than 1
  • Tears shed shamelessly by this middle-aged reviewer: 36

Conclusion: How Pixar has done this 4 times I don’t know, but it’s every bit as good as the others. Don’t miss it.
